Wake up the next day at 4.00 a.m to complete packing my stuff...Final Yajuu juice stored from the eve, and head to reception, to wait for my car transfer to the airport...surprise surprise, am advised that my transfer for the morning was not coming, and that the hotel would need to call for a taxi...Which arrived 15 minutes later...
Still make it in time to airport, to catch the Plane to Lima. 2 Hours transit time I thought, would be
plenty, but by the time I retrieve my luggage, and check in again for my flight to Buenos Aires, already 1 hour has elapsed, and there's just a humongous very slow moving queue before I pass the standard X-ray control...I politely tell an official that I was already late for boarding, and whether she could help me out by speeding matters, and she boldly tells me that I should have come earlier...Explain calmly that I was on a connecting flight, and that It was impossible for me to have made it there earlier, and that I would probably miss the plane if she didn't help out... And she just replies, so be it if that's the case, and just turns away...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIATCH...!!! I must have yelled some not so nice words at her after that....!!! Should have taken a Picture...!!! NAME AND SHAME...!!! But I was just fuming too much at that point to think clearly...!!! Luckily, thanks to some understanding fellow passengers, I cut in the queue, and barely managed to make it in the plane with literally a few minutes before the scheduled departure time...!!! Apparently, the "Gates close 20 minutes before departure time" doesn't apply here in Peru, and the Plane actually stops boarding 20 minutes later...!!! and stays on the Tarmac in a queue for another 25 minutes before actually taking off... I was actually worried, since I only had 1 hour transit to catch my plane to Joburg, but somehow, the plane still made it at the scheduled time...Seems they had overestimated the flight time on my ticks...!!! The rest of the flights were just routine, with no more hiccups...
