9th July 2012: Morning & Notes

Ok...managed to wake up for sunrise...door to the roof was still unlocked, so... ... ...
Guess what??? Sun rises just almost dead centre of lake Titicaca....but really clear sky, with virtually no cloud in sight... both days since I've been here have been overcast so far. Just means my day pics will look just a bit less interesting...but bodes well for nite shots...:)
Can't have it all...

God I miss my old 70-200...!!!!!!!!! So many missed photo opportunities... !!!!!



Also just noted in the morning that next to where I was taking pics on the hotel roof, were lots of radio antennae...hmmm...I wonder how much microwave power my atrophied brain has absorbed...!!!!!!

Notes of the day:
1. On every hill/mtn overseeing a city, there must be a big cross or a big statue of Jesus
2. The pineapples  here are HUGE. But the colour is a very pale yellow, and the flavour...well, nothing beats out local pineapps...!!!!
3. Watermelons I have eaten so far are out of this world sweet...!!! Such a treat...!!!
4. Rest heart rate dropped by 13 bpm wrt to first reading 2 days ago, where I was at slightly lower altitude. So the humongous jump from last time must have been travel fatigue related. So just means that it takes abt 25-30% more effort for everything you do...!!!!

Off for a a bot trip on lake Titicaca...:)
Quick trivia: Titicaca is meant to be the highest navigable natural lake in the world...
